Germany-U.A.E.-Tanzania

After going against much persuasion to stay for Christmas and N.Y. in Europe (well I was also hoping to see more snow) It was time to finally get on the plane to Tanzania.
So goodbye cold Germany, and all the friends met and re-met; I already miss you all!


...Traveling alone is not that great cuz I can't walk around without carrying all of my stuff! Davy, I miss traveling with you!!!
...so now I hv to take pics of myself. :(

Well at least they're on chairs... the first thing I saw as I walked out of the immigrations was pll sleeping on the floor. (not just 1 or 2, more like 10-20!)

I wasn't entirely bored tho; I was able to connect my laptop to the airport wireless and right at that time Davida (my bestest friend) who was never online was online! and we chatted the rest of the time away.

Oh, and then the guy who sat next to me on the plane bought me a drink and snack, so that was nice too. :)

Deutschland...

So here are some pics of the fundraising trip David & I took around Germany...
We went to four different cities and stayed at six different houses. And thanks to David’s basic German we weren’t entirely lost. We did shops during the week and ballooning on the weekends. The Lord supplied just enough for my trip till the very last day!
A HUGE “THANK YOU” to everyone who made it possible for me to return to Africa, and everyone who shared their homes - and ballooning spots ;) - with us!

We got weekend tickets that enabled us to travel all day to anywhere in Germany.
And since we were traveling far we basically all day hoping from train to train.

No, it’s not a hamster or Ginny pig or even a mouse …It’s a RAT!!! …with the gross long tail and all, it was huge! I usually scream and climb on whatever is available if I ever see one, now here I am holding it! (only for the picture) …'till it started crawling up my arm. Eeeek!!

I don’t care if it’s a pet; I still washed my hand afterwards. :P

Wahnsinn!!!

Ok so Matt dared me to go on this ride if we got it free. Not like I minded. The closest thing to bungee jumping I've done so far, still not the real thing but it was a rush anyway. The only problem was my neck was sore for a few days from the jerking.
...It shoots u up like a bullet and then spins as it bounces up and down! Well u can see the pics for yourself...

Matt and Melissa (who I lived with in Sierra Leone for 1 ½ yrs) came to visit Switzerland and I got a ride with them back to Germany. It was so nice to see them again, I'd missed the kids sooo much.
